Tomorrow is the first day of autumn, although here in California it may be hard to believe! Coming off of a triple digit weekend, the forecast is for mid nineties through Sunday, and finally reaching some beautiful 80’s next week. Beautiful plein air weather is coming up…! My house and studio will be undergoing transformation next month, a new roof and paint for the house, and (finally!!!) insulation for both house and studio attics. I was nearly comatose during our hot weather spells, I am really hoping the insulation makes my studio more comfortable…
It is the second week of my fall classes, almost everything is full! I still have room in Chasing Nicolaides, a wonderful class for beginners to advanced, held at Lafayette Studio. It happens on Mondays 1:30 – 4:30. There is also room in the Saturday Portrait and Figure Drawing and Painting, 9:30 – 1:00, held at Civic Arts Education
I will be off painting at Shelter Cove for the Plein Air at the Lost Coast event in early October with my dear friend and painting partner Kathryn Ikeda… it should be fun!
